Abstract


Buildings, as the largest consumes of energy, are also greatest opportunity for energy conservation. The building envelopes is one of the most significant contributors to the energy budget and comfort parameters of any building. This paper investigates the ability of the green technologies, passive strategies and green materials to achieve sustainable interior environment as thermal comfort, daylighting, solar shading, glare and indoor air quality. These emerging of green technologies and materials will revolutionize building facades, as they effectiveness, durability, easy to apply, economic solutions, environmentally, friendly and energy saving. Finally, the study findings emphasize the need to integrates the green technologies and innovative design of facade components for a green building.
