Abstract

Recent trends in the development, the zero energy building and near zero energy building has gained a worldwide attention and how it is seen as the future of advance building architecture. Since this kind of buildings are now a days get highly attracted by researchers. This paper presents an innovative concept, design & case study of an “ABSOLUTE ZERO ENERGY BUILDING”. Which includes energy audit of current traditional building and energy consumption by the new “ABSOLUTE ZERO ENERGY BUILDING”. “ABSOLUTE ZERO ENERGY BUILDING” contains design and selection of new layout using solar architecture, selection of various building components such as walls, roofs, windows, doors & glassing from the perspective of energy efficiency. It also includes on site power generation in terms of photovoltaic integration with the “ABSOLUTE ZERO ENERGY BUILDING”.
